Had a butter chicken last night. Chicken was very hard and tasteless, the sauce tasted like a lost korma and overall the meal itself was basically awful. Won't be going back again

They say never to judge a book by it's cover - a very true truism. The same can be said for a restaurant, don't judge it by what you see from the sidewalk...
From the street, it looks like most any inocuos restaurant from the street. But once you walk in, you are happily greeted and find yourself in a much-larger-from-the-inside-than-it-looks-outside kinda place (funny I would find something like this in England, but that's another story altogether.) Anyway, inside the place is very nicely decorated - elegantly I would say, and the waiters are dressed to wait on you as if you were at the Ritz.
The service was maybe a bit slow, but it made up for it in their patience with us, and how well they checked on us throughout the meal. Now, speaking of the meal - what a spread they have available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For under 20-pounds per person, you can select an appetizer, main dish, vegetable side (or naan bread) and rice. The portions they bring out are big - so big none of us could finish it, and they bring it out in style that allowed us to try each other's main dish and sides. Not only a delicious meal, but a pleasant experience had by all.
If you're every in Lakenheath and drive by this very plain looking Indian restaurant and decide not to give it another look - put that thought out of your mind and give them a try. You won't be disappointed...

This is the second time, food wasn’t good the 1st time either! & this was 6months+ ago.
I ordered three curry’s & they tasted like someone had poured a sugar bowl into the butter chicken & tikka masala. Put it in the bin! Just can’t eat dessert for dinner!
The hot curry was flavourless.
The food from here is so disappointing.
We expected better.

Ordered a delivery take out Saturday night as we hadn't had one in a while and was told food would be with us in 75 minutes (we live in Weeting, about 20 mins from Lakenheath). Food arrived nearly 2 hours later, naan bread were cold, vegetable rogan and chicken tikka masala tasted bland and full of cheap onion and cabbage. Was very disappointing as takeout was usually really good. Like I said we hadn't ordered from here for a while, was surprised at the noticeable increase in price and decrease in quality of food. Such a shame as it used to be a little gem of a place.

Really good food, the 3 of us all ordered different but my self had the chicken tikka rogan and it was full of flavor. Service was good, only downside was not many people in so staff not loads to do, however takeaway guy was busy.

Had a takeaway delivery, was told it would be 1hour,eventually after 2more calls it turned up in 2hours 15 minutes, cold .rang up again to complain and they said I can have 20% off next one.the explanation was its a cold night and very busy why would you except that.next one should be free as it all went in bin.45 pounds wasted. We did use this place a lot but when you have food delivered about quarter of a mile up road it should be hot or even warm,not cold and uneatable.

A great experience on a busy Saturday night. We hadn't made a reservation, but still welcomed with a smile and promptly seated.
Great food and attentive service.
Lakenheath is lucky to have such a great restaurant that also offers takeaway and delivery.

Never been in the restaurant so gave atmosphere 1 star, always ordered online and have loved the food we get. Has always arrived early and tastes nice. I love spicy food and I get the chicken dansak! Will continue to order from them 😊
